Letty Jeffreys

Hello, I’m Letty and I’m a Birth & Postnatal Doula, Breastfeeding Counsellor, Hypnobirthing Teacher and Placenta Specialist based in Haverhill. I mainly work in Cambridge and the surrounding area, but I also often work across Suffolk, Essex and Herts.

I have always been fascinated with birth and babies and having trained with Developing Doulas in 2013 when my first son was just 4 months old, it quickly became a passion and I signed up for a lifetime of learning! In 2022 I birthed my second baby at home with the help and support of my own Doula which was such a wonderful experience, and it has only deepened my passion for my work. I have spent the last 10 years supporting families to confidently bring their little ones into the world and navigate the early stages of parenthood - I absolutely love my job!

My aim is to walk with you, as you make your choices for birth and beyond. Every client chooses to have a doula for a different reason, so listening and getting to know you will help me to understand and adapt to the specific support that you are looking for.  I am really passionate about supporting parents in making informed decisions and exploring all options about their care whilst also nurturing with practical help and tips for pregnancy, birth, infant feeding and early parenting. I am very much aware that pregnancy and parenting brings a minefield of information - a lot of it conflicting, which can create so much doubt and confusion. I am here to help you navigate the information available, be your soundboard and to help you prepare emotionally, too. I want to help you feel safe, secure and listened to. I want to make sure the birth of your baby is as positive and fulfilling an event as possible – however your baby is born. I am also there to support the birth partner, making sure that he/she is able to give you the support you need from them, whilst also being cared for themselves.

I have experience in attending a broad range of births including natural births, water births, inductions, home births, hospital births (both birthing centre and delivery units), twin births, VBACs, vaginal breech births, caesareans, and birth after bereavement. As well as a range of infant feeding challenges and situations.

If you would like to chat more about the sort of support you are looking for please get in touch – I would love to hear from you 😊
